My rubber grommet broke into 4 pieces and was a pain in the butt to get out. Luckily my valve cover was already off, just be careful with the rubber.

if you use some sturdy plowers, it will come out of the hole

People are mixing up 2 different cars, years and models. My 04 gs300 is made from metal, and screws in.

First look on line to see how a PCV valve looks like ! It can be plastic or metal. Either way make sure no other wire is connected to it but only a rubber hose and sometimes a double hose one inside the other. From the PCV valve the hose goes straight to the intake manifold. Remove the hose (engine not running) by squizing the metal clip around it and use a matching socket to remove it using only the hexagon screw at the connection of the valve to the car body.
Just do not confuse it with the Spark plugs igniter!!! Good Luck, May the Force be w/You!
