thanks for the nice writeup and videos.

I ran into a little snag, the motors that I ordered were from the same ebayer seller and part number. The small metal rod where the gear sits is on the same side as the contacts. Is there a way to pull that metal part out and put it on the opposite side?

I cant get the motor installed properly because of this :/

I installed new actuators in my front doors but lost my feature to let all windows down when i insert my key into the driver door and turn. I also think i might need a new key transponder or reprograming my unlock button does nothing my lock button works and my trunk button works anyone have any knowledge of this

Default toyota echo actuators?

I've been seeing actuators on Ebay now for around $20 saying they fit 2nd gen Lexus GS 300's and toyota echos http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Pins-Door-Lock-Actuator-For-Toyota-Echo-Scion-Lexus-GS300-430-400-Rear-Right-/191382999405?fits=Make%3ALexus ...anyone used these?

Default Just purchased one

From the pics it looks like a winner, Bought one for $24 with the buy it now. If you search the thread it looks like others have tried them They are referred to as Chinese knockoffs and it looks like they became available over the summer so no long term use that I can find.

I have already done the repair on this door (LR) but my repair has failed after about a year. The others I did work fine. so I am looking forward to a plug and play option this time around.

I've have seen a post and read the ebay reviews on those complete actuators and it looks like what they say is the right rear is not the correct part. Check the negative feedback on ebay.

awesome! Definitely let us know when you get it, if it fits and actually works...maybe there's a way to contact the supplier and see if they can make replicas of all of our door actuators for our cars! That would be AWESOME at $30 a piece!...

For the $5 a piece - I don't know what anyone would not just buy the mabuchi motors - if you can replace the actuator assembly it is only about 10 min more tops to change the motor.

Key transponder only has to do with starting the engine.

The problem sounds like your lock button on the fob is dead.
