just got my gs300 last week. 3 of the doors (both front and 1 rear) had bad actuators (motors)...read every page of this DIY and knocked all 3 doors out in about 2 hours.

For the driver door, its pretty damn easy, 5 bolts only, 4 that hold the actuator and 1 that holds the window rod/rail.
I after taking out the actuator like 5 times, I can take it out in 10 minutes. The only thing to be careful for is the grey rod behind the door handle rod. If that rod gets pushed down your will will automatically roll down. Happened to me 3 times nearly cut off my hand.
Imma need to do my right rear.
IMO just buy the gear puller, its worth it saves you a big hassle.

My passenger door lock acuator broke while I was replacing the motor.

Which will make it easier to replace instead of tring to crack that plastic housing. Sure it's about 90 bucks but vs the whole door lock assemble for 300 at the dealership.
I'm just not sure If there's a specific one for each door?

Rear doors are easy also. Just remember to remove the ash tray assembly and the bulb inside that illuminates it. The door handle doesn't have to be removed, but it does press against the rod on the actuator so it takes a little manipulation to get the actuator free.

@flockogs4 - you don't need a puller to remove the coupler. This thread is not lacking like you
like you commented. If you read through the whole thread it show's where you can
use pliers(which I have done).
to all that wants to do this, time spent on doing this repair will vary from person to person. The first time I did the front actuator, it took me an hour. But when I did the passenger side it only took me 30 minutes. That's including taking pics so that I can remember how certain parts looked before I took them off. So that I could put them back correctly and avoid re-work. I highly recommend taking pics to avoid the guessing game on how certain parts are put together. This goes for everything that you work on. Some parts are not straightforward on how they go together.

Which seller did all of you buy your motor from? There are a few of them on ebay. Are these motors real mabuchi motors, or OEM equivalent? I am about to buy some and fix mine. Thanks.

Ok my friend just got done doing this fix for me and it was a pain in the *** took bout 5 hours, first when the coupler came off it split in two so he expoxied it back together.Well to make a long story short after everything was installed and put back on, the door lock opens and closes fine with the key button but it wont lock manually its real tight and i cant roll the windows up with the key in the hole but i can roll them down.Does anyone know went wrong any suggestions will be appreciated.

Bill, check the assembly of the actuator like on the picture on the previous page. Our car's lock is 100% electrical. The key turning part is just connecting the terminal to engage the motor to open or close the lock.
