Door Lock Acutuators DIY ???

The master door lock switch inside the car locks and unlocks all 4 doors. The remote fob will not lock or unlock any of them. The battery is new in the FOB so I am just trying to figure out what is broken.

When I use the remote, only the passenger side locks or unlocks. Would the driver's door lock actuator being broken affect the remote locking/unlocking of the rear door?

This is a great guide and I used it to successfully replace my drivers door actuator. I did not remove the window, simply removing the bottom bolt for the window track (it's flexible) and moved it aside to remove the actuator.
Unfortunately I just failed on trying to replace the right rear door however and had to give up on first try. The problem lies in removing the right bolt on the door handle. If anyone knows of a way to remove that bolt or remove the actuator rods from the handle without pulling it out I would like to hear how you did it. Someone else here said with patience the rods will come off, but if you can add specifics, like where the retainer clips are located and which direction they flip, that would help. These rods seem clipped on a different way than the front door handle.
There's another good guide out there for a rear door actuator replacement where the guy fashioned his own 10mm wrench to do this. I managed to get my small 10mm wrench on the bolt and turn it just enough to crack the seal, but it hits the contour in the door side panel and can't be turned any more. I am thinking I may be able to cut down the wrench to like 1/2 or 3/4 size and that will provide enough clearance for turning it a click. So this job is definitely diy possible, but the door handle bolts are the stickiest part on both front and rear doors and be mindful of this if want to do the rear.

Same as Sienna
This is the same door motor in the '04 Sienna mini-vans. Thanks to all who contributed to the post this saved me almost $900 plus set a good example for my kids on how to fix things. But, I had to buy a bunch of these to get the one I needed. I won't post the link to the ebay account - this isn't a sales add. But I thought I'd return the favor by selling this at a good price. So, the FC 280PC 22125 unit is sold on ebay and works great in this spot.

You just remove the cap from the old motor, take the bushing and put it in the new cap. Just be careful not to drop and lost it. It's so small.
Once you have the item you will figure it yourself. It's not hard to do.
