Default 2JZ GE - Interference or Non Interference Engine?

Is the 2JZ GE interference or non interference engine... If in case the timing belt breaks on these engines what happens?

How about the 4.3L V8 - 430 engine?

the jz and the uz (v8) series are interference engines (meaning once belt snaps, the piston will actually crash into the valves). I have a list of engines using time belts up to 2005 from a timing belt manufacturer cataloge if you're interested.

Turn the crank and see what happens.
Or just crank the motor with the belt off if your really sure.

...you might just hear the bang.

As the title and the person in the video say, that is a 1JZ-GTE, not a 2JZ-GE.

Click on the username of the person you want to send a message to, and select "send a private message", so you don't need to bump old threads. I'm also going to edit your post to remove your e-mail for your own benefit, lest it be picked up by spammers.

That was funny where someone tried to dispel misinformation with misinformation lol. The 1JZ has a shorter stroke than the 2JZ so one couldn't possibly do that crank test on a 1JZ and say it's the same for the 2JZ. I just felt like a quick scan of this thread still leads people to believe it's not an interference motor, but it is just to clarify.
