it's amazing what a new battery does for those keys. my range was about 20 ft for years. all of a sudden it dropped to about 5 ft. I put in a new battery and now the range is 50-60 ft!

most any place that sells a battery like that will have a screw driver for the types of things that use that type of battery Radio shack or any jewelry dept in a store will have screw drivers for watches etc.

Just adding on, since this has been resurrected.

You can get a small screwdriver for your personal toolbox easiest via an eyeglass repair kit (usually only a few $ and at drugstores)

Or if you stop by any radio shack or similar electronics store (real electronics, not bestbuy), they will have a screwdriver you can borrow for 2min at the desk for free. Or any watch repair place will also help you out.

I suggest to buy a few batteries so you always have one spare. If you buy online you can get a bunch for the price of 1 battery instore. Online also will let you know of the expiration date of your batteries so you know they are fresh.

I've had luck orderfing from swatchbattery.com and getting renata batteries (supposedly premium brand). I have several battery needs, so took the opportunity to stock up on some other sizes as well.
