Hello everyone, I'm new to this site. I own a 1999 GS3 blk on blk. I recently purchased a set of LED taillights from ebay ( all 4 peice ), I got the model with the thin signal and reverse lense. Anyways, I was trying to install the lights and the outter ones I changed them with ease, but the indicator on the dash is on. I am wondering is it me or that is normal on the aftermarket lights. Another thing is, the inner LEDs does NOT fit. The stock adaptor was made for the light bulb to be insert, but the adaptor that came with the inner LED does not fit in the stock adaptor. I'm pretty sure I could cut and connect some wires, but before I do this step, I'm hoping to know if this is normal on aftermarket LED or I'm just so happen to get a messed up one.

Any information would really help and I'll post picture as soon as i get this mess done with. =D

Sorry to hear you had troubles with your tails, it is completely normal for your dash light to be on, they always come on when you install the LED tails. I had absolutely no trouble installing my inner LEDs, they fit just like OEM. Good luck man!

The inner LED should have a socket that plugs right into the factory bulb socket like the outter LEDs, but for some reason this inner LED i got does not fit. Completely OFF!

Can I see a link to the auction? I didn't know they had a 4 piece with a thin signal. I thought those weren't by sonar.

Thank you for your supports and i fixed the problem. The inner light, i was lazy and tried to change it by using the little hole given where the bulb is located. Instead i took some extra time and take out the whole piece and i find some the right harness adaptor.

I purchased the 4 piece set awhile back also. Did you purchase them from Ebay seller k2motorsports? I had no problems with the install. Please post pictures so we can help.

The lights I got are not sold together. I bought the inner pieces separate. I'll take picture today and post it up in a couple hours. Not bad, definately worth having the indicator light on. =D

If you purchased the outer LED with smaller turn signal, then its not from K2 motor. K2 sells the 4 pc set w/ the bigger turn signals.

Can you post some pictures of them lit up and off? Do they match well?

It is not from K2motorsports. I like the LED pattern on the bigger white signal but it doesnt look as stock. I'll post picture in couple hours. It looks good!

The light indicator is still on. Should I reset the
ECU, would that help you think?

I hear that it's a common problem with LED tails. I think that most just rock the light on

just pull out the cluster trim and pull the bulb,takes like 3 mins.!
