Default gs300 alternator info

Hey guys i got a pretty decent stereo in my car and am running an optima yellowtop in my trunk, but i need a bigger alternator still. I was going to throw a 220 amp alternator under the hood, but somebody mentioned to me that it will throw something with the SRS off after a certain number of amps is reached. Is this true? Or can i just go ahead and put a bigger alternator in? Thanks

-175 amps Alternator from lextremeNEW never used This alternator is manufactured in the original Lexus or Toyota Housing and require no special brackets or modification to fit, allowing "Drop -In" installation asking 350.00 + shipping

This is posted in the classifieds under member Ranger498? If you don't get it I will! I've been considering it!

I agree with Wringo on this one...175amps are plenty enough for even the heaviest bass-setup

I used the original 100A alternator on my Supra...delivering power to 2 x RF T1 12"s...and i managed to melt the 140A autofuse (by way of overheating)

In my opinion, yes

If your not getting into heavy SPL-competitions...the 175A alternator will deliver plenty of juice enough for your setup
