Good comparison notes. I have a better idea on the differences with my fellow GS cousins. Some info to share with my two neighbors down the block who both have 400's and are still not members of Club Lexus.

It would've been nice if GS300 came with a chrome grille and I would've liked the 5-spoke wheel design rather than 7.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Yeah I have no issues doing the same with the GS 300s and we can sticky b/c the "what are the difference_______" threads do pop up all the time. We could point them here.

Thanks again.

Correction on the 01-05 grill. Not all models came the "chrome grill" Both car look great after all these years.

Very good. After reading the comparison, guess you are happy either with a GS400 or a GS430.
I guess people may have different tastes in the grille, wood trim, and wheels. However, I like the audio controls on the steering wheel (Lexus really missed something here), the display of song titles, and the mileage reading (that small area) on newer GSs (430).

If you READ the red print, it states that already, thus no "correction" is needed.

The 430's have the chrome shifter bezel in which you can't buy anymore separately, plus my chrome bezel is chipping and i don't feel like buying the whole shifter plate... too much $$ for something so small...

How could that happen when the 430 is obviously better!!! I used to be a 400 owner and well........ Take it from another member who has owned both. That is all.
