Default Does anyone know how to remove the flasher module?

I want to replace my flasher module with an aftermarket one that will allow me to use LEDs in the turn signal bulbs (so that they don't hyperflash).

I need some instructions on how to remove the flasher module. Thanks!

hameed bhai salaam, I believe u can put in the inline resistor to solve your pb, I think if u don't do that the light in ur dash will show up due to such low current draw. which bulbs did u get for ur turns? link?

The warning bulb in the dash that lights up is for the taillight out only. It does not come on when the flasher is out. The only warning for the flasher being out is flashing faster. When one bulb goes out, the flash speed increases. When you install the LED bulbs, the flasher senses a bulb is out due to the low wattage and blinks fast.

Salaam iamkhanz!

The inline resistors don't do anything on a GS400. Already tried two different kinds and they have absolutely no effect.

The actual flasher module needs to be replaced (someone with an ISx50 has already done this and they now work perfectly. It is the last one on this page http://superbrightleds.com/flashers.htm

It's very simple to deal with the warning light on the dash - remove the bulb. That's what I did when I replaced my brake lights with LED's.

However, just as Jeff mentioned, replacing just the turn signals with LED's won't trigger that light anyway.

I bought my LED's from this site http://superbrightleds.com/1157.htm

So back to my question, can anyone help me figure out how to remove the OEM flasher module?

I see. I am looking to do same mod front and back. Would love to know. I am thinking it's in the fuse box in the hood maybe?

Did the person who did it on his IS say where his was on his post?

He has a 2nd gen IS, not a 2nd Gen GS, so I doubt if that is relevant.
