Transmission Problems HELP!
i was driving yesterday in my 98 gs400 and my car just started revin high and not moving anymore so i pulled over and i put 2 quarts of transmission fluid and then the car started moving again for a little bit and then it stopped. and then after i went to buy another quart and put it in and then it started moving and then stopped. so what do you guys think is wrong with my transmission? and if my transmission is out where would be a good place to get another transmission at for a reasonable price out here in northern california?

go to the dealer... and check your transmission fluid level... i sure hope you put toyota/lexus T4 in there... over filled is almost as bad as underfilled...
good luck

why did you add 3 quarts of fluid? it's probably majorly overfilled! did it leak any fluid before? like said, I hope you used toyota type T IV fluid and you'd better do a drain and then refill with 2 quarts and check level after the sensor is changed.

Whoa dude, stop driving the car. Check the level, check for leaks. Check if your drain bolt is still there. And speed-sensor would not cause your car to stop moving. If it starts to move when you add fluid, it leads me to beleive you have a major leak. And if you are adding one quart, and the car starts to move, then you are on minimum, which is a huge no-no. You need to diagnose this a little more before this ends up costing you in the thousands to fix.
