How many miles do you have?
My 98 Gs400 just hit 100k miles. I just ordered a SRT air intake and a Borla exhaust. But i am kinda regreting it now because the car has so many miles, is it a waste to start seriously moding so late in the game? I really want to order a kit for my car and get a new paint job, but money wise is it bad investment. So how many miles does your GS have? and do you feel its ever too late to start modding?

If you don't plan on keeping your car a long time it's always a bad idea to mod the car, you will never get back your investment and you will take a hit when you go to sell the car. With that said, most people here including myself pour tons of money into our rides without regard for the future. But be wise. In my case, I plan on keeping my car for a long time. This is the car i've always wanted so I don't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. The only thing is I wish I would have gotten the 430 but when I supercharge it all that will go out the window. GL with whatever you decide.

wondered the same, so I will do things that can be un-done or not too expensive:
Already had: wheels, tires, springs, shocks, lights
Want: front lip, clear sides, caliper L logo, tails, eyelids, grille, (and maybe just nice exhaust tips)
Past experience - I have never owned any car for more than 4 years.

my 99 just hit 100k also.... ive only had her for a few months, and i personally change up cars every year or so. But i managed to dump some money on mods into every one ive owned... and although i never get a return money wise, i dont regret spending the money on them in the first place. its always nice to drive around in a fixed up car. Even if its only for 1 year at a time. I say go for it....

Yea, I have a problem when it come to owning cars for only a little while outting money in them and them dumping them( I guess my cars are like chicks!) Haha . Im 19 and already had 4 cars, with this GS400 my mom made me sign a contract that i would keep it for at least a year. Its been a year and two months now and 30K miles later. I think that i will continue to mod this Gs400, nothing is appealing enough for me to take out a car loan for. Yet...
