Hey guys, I am getting my car tinted this week and have yet to decide on what percent. So I am coming here to look at some pics. My local law is 35% but that is just to light for me so I will need to go lower. Please show pics and tell me what percent you have....

This is 10% although the guy said it would dry to 6% The tint is from Johnson and it is similar to a two-way mirror. I can see out of it almost as if it is not tinted but it can be quite difficult to see in it. This is the best shot I have that shows the translucency.

Hi Elliott, have you tried searching for prior 'show me pics of your tint' posts? There are a lot of them out there (I know I've responded to a few so I just searched for my posts)

I did my car 15% and its just right. Its enought to have people who look in have trouble, and its light enought to have just a bit of trouble seeing out. My secret? I did the back window, 20%. That way when the cops pull in behind me, thye dont pull me over and make me pull my beutiful tint off right in front of them. Just my Opinion. Oh ya, I drive a 98 GS4 White

My friend (SLAMMED) girlfriend remove all my tint less than half an hour. I know hard to believe rite but she did it. save myself 250 hahaha

i also have a silver gs4 without tint..... ive been debating on whether or not i should get it..... i have custom interior and a custom sound system with 4 tv's.... (one 15 inch)....i feel like if i tint it id be taking away from the interior + tv's ......so im still thinking whether or not its a good idea.....here's a few pics...

Mine looks extremely dark because I have the rear windows at 5% all around so there's not a lot of light coming into the car. If you look closely you'll see the front is tinted lighter but unless I'm directly in the sun, you can't really tell.




Even worse, here is a pic with me IN the car with the front windows down

My GS is 02 Millenium Silver on black with 35% tint all around except the windshield. Hope this helps.

hmm, so i went to custom sounds and a place called sideways auto salon...

custom sounds would only do 35% on sides only and wanted to charge 350 bucks.
sideways auto salon would do 20% all around and wanted to cahrge 350 bucks also.

these prices include the removal of my old blue tint. Is this the avg price or what?

I may get mine done anytime soon. I was quoted $110 for 15% on doors and rear window with a 3 year warranty.

I had a previous car done at the same place and never had any problems and the film was grade A.

$65 for front 2 windows at 35% for my GS last week. Got a BMW 5 series with similar lines for $185 for the whole car. I know that removing the old tint could be causing the $350, as that is about a 2 hr job in itself.
