Default Squeaky Cowl Cover

Now that it is colder my cowl cover has begun to make noise when the car body flexes - going over bumps/manhole covers, etc. I have seen threads of people talking about this issue in 2006 models but not really any "fix" info as they are all under warranty. One guy said he was going to use weatherstriping...

I am not sure what I am going to do, but my first step is to remove the cowel cover. My guess is there are some screws somewhere and I will need to pry the cover off as it is adhered to the windshield glass? Does this mean I will need to buy new cowl as I may compromise it during the process? Any helpfull hints or a procedure to remove/replace the cwl cover would be great - the noise is driving me crazy. Thank you.

2003 GS300 with 20k miles.
