I have the exact same one. I bought it on Ebay from Sewell Lexus for $55 shipped (for 2 of them)--took me a while to find these stainless ones as most others were of substandard quality. I think the 3-D text frames made by Automotive Gold are the best looking license plate frames, as the "LEXUS" is an exact replica of the official Lexus emblem. They are great quality as well, being that they are stainless steel (highly corrosion resistnat) and not merely chrome plated regular steel that is prone to corrosion.

I've got the Millen plate frames. When I shut the trunk, the frame and plate rattle like mad. Anybody have a suggestion for fixing that? (Old dealer frame did it too. Dealer now has a different frame that they say doesn't rattle at all, but I want to keep the Millen frames.)

BTW, after lurking for several years, this is my first post.

Ed

Welcome Ed and thanks for posting!

You should be able to do a couple of things to help keep from rattling.

One is to get some of the sticky felt pads you can find at most grocery or hardware store and affix them to the back (and sometimes between the plate and the frame).

Second is to get some dynamat and put it on the back of the plate. You can get that at most car stereo stores.

Dave, u da man! I did some searching on dynamat and found that they actually make a license plate kit. Picked one up at the Fry's here in Austin and installed it on my GS400/Rod Millen frame. Sheet of dynamat extreme, foam strips for the license plate frame. Even came with a plastic dynamat license plate frame, which I promptly tossed. Dead silent. Wish I'd have done it years ago.

I've never seen a L-tune frame. Do they/Did they make a silver one?
EDIT-Why does that plate frame look photo shopped?

I think the rounded-edge DUB card is wider than the straight-edged license plate frame. The reflection of the tree on the chrome of the frame doesn't help.
