Matching paint.
I'm going to be buying a couple things (front lip, grill, maybe eyelids) and they will need to be paint matched to the car, which is diamond white pearl. I'm curious to hear what paint others have used and had it match nicely. Did you just have a good body shop mix their own and match it that way? Or were you able to buy this paint from a Lexus dealer? Thanks!

well i paint cars for a living, and i personally used PPG paint. their DBC line is the closest to factory match, it is very hard to F up the color matching with this brand and line of paint. you could get the paint from the dealer as well, but i hope you like to spend money if you do. PPG's DBC line and a good painter will give you factory match.
btw, a VERY experienced painter with A LOT of experience in mixing their own paints, can also PERFECTLY match your factory paint. i wouldn't trust someone who isn't experienced with the paint mixing though, because it can go VERY bad.

Unless the front end of your car has been recently painted you won't be able to match it, your color has to be blended meaning if you paint one panel part of the adjoining panels must be painted as well, plus DWP is a three stage paint where as most colors are two, if you want it to look right bring the credit cards as it won't be cheap.

i will take a picture of my car for you tomorrow. I just repainted my front lip, you can be the judge if you can see a color difference.
i used PPG DBC paint, U-POL clear coat, i buffed the new paint lightly for a even closer match.
