Blower motor resistor problem. Please help!
Guys I have a problem with my GS and can use some assistance! I have a factory navigation unit in the car and the blower selection isn’t working properly. It basically has one speed, wide open. I have tried to put it on auto and selected every mode available, but it remains at the highest speed.
I posted the problem in the Lexus Audio, Video, Security & Electronics section and wasn’t getting any feedback
Any ideas what my problem is? Any direction to help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
David

Well, 31 of us have checked out your thread and no-one knows where this resistor is on a GS. All I can tell you is that on other vehicles I have replaced it on it was located at the blower motor itself, mounted on the box that surrounds the blower motor. Good Luck with your search.

No idea where it is on the Lex...but i did fix one on my mom's camry last year...it was on a box on the blower motor itself which was located under the glove on the passenger side. Maybe pop open the plastic cover down there and take a look to see if u see anything similar on the lex. Turns out it was a pretty common problem on the camry's and the solder point just needed to be resoldered.

It’s located directly beside/behind the blower motor to the left you will see it, it’s silver and has two connectors coming out of it to the left. You have to move some wires out the way and the white duc piece for the air condition piping and you can see it clearly then
