Default Button Willow Video

Hey gang.
I finally got some footage up for you guys to watch.
I must say that the 40mb download is not for the faint of heart.

In short, the video is some in car footage of me in the Gs3 at buttonwillow raceway, somewhere in middle california.
I have been to streets of willow a couple of times, but this was my first time at B.W.
As you will see, i take it slow in the beginning, so i can learn the course.
Also, my driving line is pretty bad, but i've watched the video enough by now to do a lot better next time around.

Some honorable mentions in my young tracking career, some cars that i have passed are:
Early model Acura NSX
04 Mustang GT
04 Subaru WRX
In the case of the nsx and wrx, lesser driver performance was their concern.
edit:
02 civic turbo
Mazda rx7 FC model
many early miatas except turbo.
BMW M3 (not yet) haha
Nissan 180sx
and more..

those are just masking tape right?! a lot of people use that to prevent chips (or breaking the headlights). a lot of people transporting their show cars back and forth norcal and socal use it, my wife did too when coming to big norcal meet

those are just normal blue painters' masking tape

Was the Integra at the end turbo'd? It really had some speed espescially in the straights. It also looked like the driver was good becasue he seemed to be putting some distance during the turns as well. I know your tires sounded like they were already going after the middle of the second lap. Looks like you had a blast.

Did you do any supsension work to your car? What kinda tires you running?

Hey, thankyou all for your comments. Im glad you guys support me! Its hard to find supporters for the gs at the track sometimes.

the tape is just blue painters tape from home depot, its a little pricey. Its the same as in Rominl's picture.

the tires are Toyo Ra-1, its a track tire with a different rubber compound. cold, you can stick your nail in them, and hot, you can dig your nail into them. their pretty good for the price. these tires should be warmed up when being used.
i lost some grip because i had not pitted and lowered the tire pressures. at 32psi cold, i just bought the tires and mounted them at the track. so the video was in my first session. After the i rechecked the pressures hot, and they were from 38-45 psi, i adjusted so that they are between 38 and 42 hot. too high and u get less traction.

i dont have too many mods on the car. but here is the list. Tein RA w/ edfc, trd race sways, magnaflow (cheap) mufflers, SRT intake and SRT race ecu, the track tires 255/45/17, thats about it, then there is like the other mods that dont matter at the track, except for maybe the bigger grounding wires.

the car that passed me was an acquaintance of mine, integra type R with racing tires.
he has been many times to that track, in comparison to my first.

oh and i added some more cars that i have passed at past track days at the first post.

thanks again guys.

good luck with your track day, i hope it goes well, take photos or video!

edit: the car at the track is stripped from the backseats to the entire trunk.
