Default my morning commute

One minute I'm driving along enjoying the ride, next minute I'm picking glass out of my head.

I'm in lane one doing about 20MPH
Lady in lane two (company Jeep Cherokee)
1. Doesn't signal.
2. Doesn't look
3. FLOORS the GAS.

Let's just say i was driving by when she decided to make her "INSANE" lane change.
She hit me with such force from a standing still that three cars pulled over just because I showered them with my passenger side glass. (they were my witnesses)

Her insurance company has already called me and accepted full responsibility. Unfortunetly that is not the end of my woes.

I started the claim with my company ALLSTATE just so I can be in a rent a car and start the repairs as soon as possible.
They are giving me some sh_t about since my car is five years old they don't have to buy me new doors by law they can giving some reconditioned cra_p from a junk yard.
This is FARMERS and ALLSTATE.

I'm just in between getting screwed from something that wasn't even my fault.

The worst part of this accident is that it could not have been avoided. Never had one like this, I totally did not see that coming.

I'm going to try to go after diminished value claim but haven't heard if anyone in California has actually succeeded in one of these claims. I have heard from people who were denied.

It's amazing the amount of momentum that a car builds just a split second after stuffing it from a stand still.

Good luck with insurance. Always seems like insurance goes out of their way to screw people when they make a claim.

about insurance, since the other party accepted full fault, just go with their insurance. tell them you will go to a shop and they just pay.

Oh man, Im so sorry to hear that. I hope everything will be well for you.

Now, I hate to sound like a ***** but most women dont' know how to drive. Everytime I get cut off its female. Everytime someone gives a finger , its a women. Everytime someone rides on their brakes, its women. It never ends.

Even my fiance admits that man are better drivers in most cases.

That really sucks. As for the used doors, as long as they haven't been damaged from a previous accident, they should work out just fine. Try to be invovled in the repair, see if you can inspect the replacement parts if there is no other options available.Good Luck!

Sorry to hear about this......I guess this is "Wreck Alex's car month" since mine was damaged 3 weeks ago. They were going to use refurbished front and rear bumpers for mine....which I would have been fine with....but decided on RMM's body kit. As long as its prepped and painted correctly...you wont know the difference imo. Good luck with everything...I feel your pain.
