higher top speed
Considering that i've topped out my gs (safely), at 155mph, and i was seriously thinking about purchasing the "TTE V-Max Kit" -- Electronic removal of the 155 mph speed limiter TÜV approved top speed 161 mph No change of the electronic engine management --
My Question is, well, the pros of this are obvious, allthough the cons are what i was wondering about... anyone had this put in?... any feedback would be interesting to hear...thanks. I searched and found nothing to help my curiosity...

I seriously thought about purchasing this, but my reasoning was the lower top speed due to the supra gearing (3.76). For a normally geared GS, I think the improvements wouldn't outweigh the 500.00 cost of the unit.

gs300's can hit 155??? I've never heard that before... I've maxed my 400 at 149 mph once playing with a viper, but i really see no reason in spending that kind of dough for another 6 mph. besides, as everyone said, you get bagged going that fast, youll be spending much more than that for fines.

I dont know why anyone would say it doesnt go 155... i did it.. my cars old... tip-top none the less, but still old... and 155 wasnt hard...
i wasnt worried... i know the highways down here like i know how to count to 10... plus at 2:30 in the morning on a sunday night theres noone out, and also having a radar help my causes..
again.. im not too interested in the actual purchase of this item, just the curiosity of anyone elses experiences...

88 already puts you at risk for accidental time travel.
Going faster just increases you chances...and then your mom falls in love with you.
I think I'll be content with highway speeds.

Interesting, the 300's are electronically limited at 140, must have been one hell of a tailwind

There is a turnpike between Oklahoma City and Texarkana if I remember correctly that seemed to be ideal for topping out even during the daytime. I traveled that last November. Open, empty and smooth. I didn't try to top it out though. We were tripping out on the tumbleweeds out there.
