Default So I got a hold of a SC430 steering wheel & shift ****

So I got a hold of a SC430 wheel and **** for free

I can re-stain the shift ****, that shouldn't be too hard.

As far as the steering wheel goes, do I try to do a DIY and somehow fit the wood off the SC430 wheel onto my GS wheel? (like on that DIY site)
Or should I sell it to avoid the mess/hassle and get my wheel done from A.S.?

Thoughts?

Its a 00 GS4

and no airbag

Looks like I may just sell it and use the money towards getting mine done at A.S.

You can buy a 01 RX300 (and only this year) airbag and it should work. I have not looked closely at the SC430 steering wheel though. If it is the same size as the GS ones, then the RX airbag should work. The airbag is not cheap (unless you ind one used or have a hook up) but since the wheel was free, your only expense would be the airbag.

I'll look into it.. and if you're interested - I can take a picture of the SC430 wheel and post it up.

My friend owns a body shop so I can get any extra/spare parts he has laying around pretty much for free.

For those that want to get wood trim done to their steering wheel - but can't be without a wheel while it's getting reupholstered, I have an extra GS steering wheel that I will offer up to any CL member to use.
