No mods, just maintenance and a few new interior exterior pieces to restore new look
370$ for a hood latch cable replacement
900$ for timing belt water pump serp belt
300$ for new serpentine tensioner and belt
220$ transmission fluid flush (last time going to lexus)
500$ new continental tires
350$ new upper ball joints moog
170$ new 01+ grille oem
50$ new oem fog light
55$ new oem shift ****
120$ new oem floor mats
Jeez It seems like this car has been cheap but now adding up, I've spent a good deal for only owning just over a year, but really only the ball joints and tensioner were a real repair and not maintenance.

That's the tradeoff with people still buying these cars. They see a 15 year old Lexus for $4500 and they hurry and buy. In the end, it is likely that they will be paying well beyond that and start to understand that they are driving a Lexus and not a Honda. Reality sets in very quickly for a lot of people.

I'm in for $12k on my GS300 which I purchased in July 2013. This includes the purchase price of the car and the 90k service. Dealer did alot of maintenance items including breaks, spark plugs, and new tires. Didn't get a screaming deal on the car itself, but these are hard to find in good condition in my area with low miles so I pulled the trigger. Been very happy ever since!

$8000 to buy at 104K miles - came with two sets of rims/tires (summer/winter)
$1000 for two front catalytics
$1900 timing belt and water pump, all fluids except the oil changed, basic brake service
No mods. Maybe looking at decent summer performance rubber that's about it. You will never get your money out of these if you ever have to sell, so I'm trying to be good.
