Default Mythos EXE side mirror markers

OK....since this mod seems to bring much excitement in the last month or so.....here's what i found from another site....its for the Aristo.

Anyone here tried these or have any experience with this company's markers?

Pete

I believe this was brought up before. I don't quite remember the price but they are in the $3xx range. As I recall, they also have the Japenese/US spec issue.

I like the idea of this mod.... but the look is not clean to me when you put the "covers" over the stock lights. Some one needs to retro fit the original stock ones.... if leds where used then the lights should be thin enough to fit in the housing. Hameed has the closest thing to what I am talking about but you can still tell that it is not factory. I think making something look factory is the key to looking clean and like it "flows" with the car.

What do you guys think and is there anyone on the forum that can fabricate what I am talking about?

I had the same idea as you did about a retrofit into the OEM housing, but i don't know what's in there, and i don't have that kind of time or patients or skill. I would be willing to let someone who does work with mine. I almost regret saying that, lol but i probably would be. Lots of talented CL members. But i figure as long as it's a full cover and not just an outter cover for the front that bulges a lot, a cover could be good.

What would you change on Hameed's covers to make it more OEM?

You have to remember the OEM housings are just big enough to hold the guts (motor, wiring, mirror). There is absolutely no space to put anything else. The MB blinkers are huge. The only way to get them in there is to enlarge the front of the housing enough to hold the blinkers. This neccesitates the changing of the housing shape.

that's correct, enough research and study have been done to verify this, and in order to put on the blinker you NEED to make the housing bigger

These blinkers look good! Similar in shape as the Merc ones.

I have a 2002 ls 430, and I wanted to do the same thing, but I don't want it to look gaudy or crappy.
