Default Who is running 285/30/20 rear?

Need some help. I looked around and saw some peeps running 285/30/20.
I was wondering if you had to do any mods i.e. fender rolling to fit these in the back?
Do you like the 285/30 ?
With that kinda tire, do you need to go with a 20x10 wheel or will it fit fine on 20x9.5 wheel?
I just bought the l-sprotline springs. Will put them on with either bilstein or kyb's so the car will be dropped around 1.4". I have been looking at 20x8.5 front/20x9.5 rear wheels.
I was looking at BG specs and they are 26.7 daimeter rear(28530) and 26.8 front(245/35)

The other thing i noticed during my search is that I see a lot of poeple running 19" staggered instead of 20" staggered. (saw the pole) 20 looks the best but 19 gives the best ride

any help will be appreciated

19s will only ride better if you are running the fat setup: (40 series front and 35 series rear).

As for the 285 and rubbing, it will depend on your offset. I have +38 in the rear with 275/30s and I have to shave. I actually would like to run 285 but then I'd have to shave even more. I am not quite ready to lose the whole fender tab yet.

I run 285/30/20 on my 20 X 10 Lowenhart BR5's with +43 offset. Basically I'm ok, but with 4 adults ( rarely ever allowed ) I can occasionally rub on 'dips'. It will depend on camber, offset and tire profile ( I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ). As far as 285 on a 9.5 rim, you can do it, but I don't think you'll get much advantage from the wider tire on the 9.5 inch rim - I believe 275 would be the better choice, personally.

I am going to go with the 275 tire on my 10" rim but I have seen a few pics of them with 285 and they look ok. I think for 9.5 you would want to stick with a 275, and the most important thing is offset. If the offset is right you shouldnt have too many problems

I'd like 285s on my rear 19x10s +42 but I don't think I can do it without rubbing or fender trimming.

Since I drive about 20 miles a week these days I don't think I'll be buying new tires any time soon.

Yeah, Paul, keep it in mind when you end up swapping tires. With a +42, you won't have to shave too much.

I am running a 285-30-20 S03 in the rear with a +47 rear wheel offset and have no rubbing with 4 adults. I like the fat look you get when you see the car from the rear.

47 is very high offset that's why 285 is no problem. but if you have low 40s you will need to be more careful
