Car-part.com shows interchange of 1999 to 2005 GS300/GS430. No GS400's and no 1998's listed,

It DOES show 1998 is unique to the 99-05 cars. I6 or V8 doesn't matter.

So 98 is the oddball...

Maybe we can "upgrade" to a 99-05 tank setup?

So there is some difference of significance.

Breakpoint is on the fuel pump 4/1999 to 5/1999.

So the early cars had something changed that wasn't forseen when they made the 98 cars.
