I believe that the part retail is like $240 or so.....when my driver's side actuator gave out, I had a buddy at the time who worked at Toyota and gave me their cost which was $178....

the next question would be, is it easy to change that yourself? assuming you already know how to take off the door panels?

If you're comfortable with opening the door panels and taking some stuff off, it's probably not THAT hard.

Me? I paid a Toyota mechanic friend like $40 to do it. He had it done in 30 minutes.

i need to know if this task is a do-able job for a DIYer... My driverside door lock is still not functional...It screws up the remote on the keys because it wont lock..so no beep. of the alarm unless i manually lock it then engage the alarm...

has anyone ever changed the acuator out themself?????

People say if you call Lexus HQ and complain they will send you to your local Stealer and fix it free. Id pay for labor if they cover the part. I already had to get 2 replaced by them on my expense and now another one is acting up on the rear. Man they must make those actuators out of Legos or something
