for those of you who bought a 'Platinum' Lexus Extended Warranty 7 yr / 100K miles for GS300, how much is it?

My GS has couple more months of factory warranty and I am thinking about the extended warranty.

also what does it not cover that a brand new Lexus factory warranty cover? (want to know the difference between the two)

I referred a few people to that person but I heard that he's no longer working.

I suggest you call around and try to compare, maybe do negotiate with the dealership.

FYI, i got it from Coliseum Lexus of Oakland.

Is that 100k or 7yrs from new or from when warranty is purchased. Does it cost same price if you are still under bumper to bumper?

Anyone knows if the warranty is transferrable if you were to purchase a new Lexus??

If it is a Lexus warranty, you can transfer it upon sale.

is the Lexus 'Extended Warranty' that is purchased before the factory warranty expires (but this is not bought when the car is brand new) also transferrable?

or is the only warranty that transferrable brand new 'factory' warranty?

You can purchase a "Lexus extended warranty" anytime before the Lexus standard warranty expires. Although I purchased mine when I purchased my new GS, I couldn't imagaine the terms, with respect to transfering the warranty, would be any different. Best always to be safe and read the terms and conditions of contract before you buy.
