Question How do I get the carpet up in the foot wells?

Maybe somebody can help me - it's not a biggie, but I'm wondering how I can get the carpet up in the front and rear. I'd like to apply some sound deadening if I can to lessen road noise. From looking and bending at bits of plastic trim I can't figure it out and don't want to break anything.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry for no pix, so kinda have to imagine it a bit Bit

You have to pull the plastic trims that surround the door. Once that is out, there's a black hex screw that hold the carpet into the side of the cars. Pull the carpet out. For both sides, I don't think you have to pull out the fuse lid-you can leave it there. I believe the driver is easier to pull b/c there's not much stapling of the plastics to the carpet, while the passenger is slightly harder due to the angle. These instructions suck bad without pix. There's nothing to break behind there.

i've seen some staples holding the carpets down, too, in the front passenger footwell. you might want to be prepared to replace those should i be correct in what i saw (but i wasn't really paying that close of attention)

Lessening transmitted road noise is always something I'm interested in. I have a ton of B-Quiet vComp sitting here so I thought I'd put it under the foot wells to see if it helped. Why not if it's not too hard?

Thanks a lot GS3Tek - I'll give it a try some time.

Thanks. Replacing staples is no biggie.
