Harddrive based vs DVD based navigation
Are there any differences between the hard drive based navigation vs the dvd navigation? I am not sure if im just seeing thing but it seems like the DVD based navigation looks better. The quality of the screen looks crisper. Can you change a hard drive based to a DVD based?
thanks

The newer DVD based one has many more roads and towns covered in detail, and many times more 'points of interest' (restaurants, gas stations, etc.) in its database. I have the older hard drive based system and absolutely love it. I'm not about to trade in my car to get a newer system. Besides, I don't want the GS430 because it lacks e-shift which I use every day, and the tranny programming just seems really conservative. But the interior of the 01+ 430 is nicer than my 00 400 and the new Mark Levison stereo is definitely better than the Pioneer.
