Default Stainless Steel licence plate holder - too much bling?

The Stainless steel licence plate holder - Is this too much bling bling in your opinion? I think so..............

I think it is the "LEXUS" lettering that makes it too much bling bling. The previous one I had, had the "LEXUS" lettering in black. The picture is not that great and does not show how shiny and bright the letters really are.

If you're just talkin about the plate holder, then no, its not too much bling but i do prefere the one with the black lettering instead. Got that one and it looks good.

But if you're talkin about the whole rear of the car then, imo i don't think its too much bling. All you have right there is good, just don't get the chrome trunk bar and the tail lamp rings, then that would be way too much.

Hameed -

I agree....you already got the "LEXUS" emblem on the trunk.....so its too much to have another "LEXUS" emblem on the license frame.

That's why I went with a plain chrome frame.

Nothing wrong with Stainless Steel or Chrome plate holder

But I agree with Pete. The word "Lexus" is just a little redundant in my opinion.

I went with a slightly more subtle approach. I used my main supplier of mods plate holder (Darkside Motoring)

Yes, to correct my earlier post, I meant the lettering makes it too much bling. I think I will take it off and put that previous one I had on back there. Stainless steel holder with black lettering that is not too noticeable.

Default Plain Chrome

I prefer just a plain chrome license plate frame w/no advertising any ones product or name on it. The advertising , IMHO just cheapens the look. Just my .02, take it for what it's worth.

Classic and subtle black for me.

You have a point and I agree with you. If it weren't for the fact that I like the word "darkside" I would go with a simple plain chrome holder.

I kinda use my plate in 2 ways:

1.) To advertise for my bud at Darkside Motoring and
2.) To let anyone that doesn't have a clue what it means to just think "I like to live on the DARKSIDE!"

Dave, your black frame on black car looks hot!

Cyberseano, I really like what you have done with your silver GS, since I have a silver one as well, without all the mods you have done. I really like the look of the window spoiler w/the rear lip spoiler. I often thought of doing this and have not seen it done an any other silver GS

Both you guys proved that my opinion is truly worth the posted price.
