Default Nav + tint anything I need to know?

I am looking into getting my windows tinted but I have the navigation system on the GS.
Will normal tint effect my nav system?
From a quick search I did I don't think so but I would like the opinions of others on this.

Thanks

Letsride...is there a non-metallic tint that doesn't fade to purple? I was told that all the synthetic fiber tints would fade in a year or two and that my only real option is a new ceramic tint from Formula One that is coming out soon, but is insanely expensive.

Yes....LLumar!! I did that on vehicles that have had it for over 12 years and no purpleing! It is pricey but worth every penny. A lot of comercial glass companies use it for buildings as well!!

Thanks for the info! Where did you get yours done at? I'll definitely look into it because it can't possibly be more than the $400+ I was quoted for the ceramic tint!!!

I had my other cars done in CT. My current GS does not have tint because of the Police here in GSO!

Thanks! Have you heard much about their work? You could just post or PM me their phone number and I can call them...I've always liked talking to people to get a feel of 'em I checked out the Llumar website but it wasn't very informative.

Default RE Nav and tint

I have 20% Lumar Platinum tint on both of my GS430's with nav and on my LX470. Only thing it affected was the radio signal. Doesn't pick up as many stations. But that is what XM comes in handy for.

RACE -- That's fine by me...is that a metal tint or no? I hardly ever listen to the radio...almost always CDs since I'm an audio nut as evidenced by my collection of Quarts, McIntosh amps, and Sony C-90 head. The only reason I got the navi was to get the Lev system because I didn't really like the idea of tearing into a new Lex for a stereo, so I wanted the Lev, but now that I've paid for the navi, and now love it, I don't want a tint that will hamper it, but I honestly could care less about radio as long as it just doesn't totally block it out.
