Oh... by the way.
There's a guy with 1.7 million miles on his Volvo. And another guy with an early 90s Chevrolet Silverado w/ the 350 in it and a year or two ago he hit 1 million miles on the 100% untouched stock motor (other than oil and filters of course). He did nothing fancy to it ever, just had the oil changed with regular Penzoil every 8-10k miles. GM and Penzoil were so impressed that they bought him a brand new Silverado plus paid him a considerable sum for his old Silverado so that they could take it apart and figure out what they did so right.
But GM has a few good motors that have a history of running for quite some time: the 4.3L V6, the 3.8L V6, and the 350 V8 (not the LT1 or LS1, I'm talking the standard late model small block 350). Now if only they could make the rest of the car last that long.
