"DONE" Auto Couture Illumination Kit
A huge special THANKS goes out to Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota & Gilbert Perez @ 818 Motoring
Well, another MOD for the books... However, this is not your normal DIY install. By far, you need to have a great deal of patience & time to do this. What do I mean? Try drilling holes in your side skirts that is not perfectly straight and flat across the car. My Veilside Sideskirts have a slight curve to it which proved to be a challenge!!! The concept of the install is very straight forward. Flush mount the lights under the sideskirt and have them wired up to come on when the doors open. But then again, nothing is ever easy with my car.
After taking off my side skirts we realized that there was a problem right off the bat. If the lights were mounted straight across the sideskirt, the lights would not flow with the lines of the car. Gilbert had to mount the lights with the flow of the sideskirt which proved to be the right way. BTW: You only get one chance when drilling a hole into your sideskirt.
Once the measurments were done, spacing the lights across the skirt is very important. If your measurements are off, you will notice the difference when the lights shine down on the ground. Again, Gilbert did an excellent job making sure the lights are evenly spaced out.
Many of the stuff done to my car always had something custom done to it so I had asked Gilbert to install the lights on a 3 way switch. This switch (which he mounted in the change box) allows me to either have the lights come on when the doors open or I can leave them on while driving. I can also turn the lights off completely if I want too.
Finally, each light (which are water resistant) have 3 LED bulbs which have a bright WHITE glow to them. NO BLUE, NO PURPLE, NO PINK...hehe Depending on how low your car is or if you have a bodykit will determine how bright the glow on the ground is and how big of a circle it produces. Also, this is not a Street glow LED kit or plasma glow kit. This is the real deal from Japan! Anyway, enjoy the pics..
Got Questions regarding the product----> PM Steve Ganz/ Me
Got Questions about the install---> PM audiogil
EDIT: Moonlight setting was used on the camera to "bring out" the glow on the ground

That's just simply badass. I thought it was one of those expensive i-got-way-too-much-time-and-money-on-my-hands kinda mods, but I suppose if it was done right it can look really good without being borderline f'n'f.

Damn that looks tight as ******. Looks like the opening of a new club with the spotlights. Very classy looking. There would be nobody around here that would be that competint to install that. Im having trouble finding somebody to install a bodykit. Like always Lexogood with another unique A+ mod
