Default Rearview mirror

Sorry for the cross-post (also posted in ES thread), but am looking for feedback from people. I recently (last week and today) test drove a GS350 and ES350 respectively, and was surprised to find that in both cars, the rearview mirror is blocking a significant part of my vision. I am 6'3", the seat is all the way down, titled back slightly but I want to keep good posture, and the mirror is right at eye level, which I can't stand. Surely I can't be the only tall person that drives a Lexus, so was wondering what anyone else's experience has been with this, or thoughts around this annoying feature. I currently drive a 2006 Avalon, same frame as the ES in other words, and the rearview mirror sits flush against the top of the windshield, the Lexus mirrors are a good 2" down.

The GS's inside rear view mirror is like most with a double pivot arm, one at the glass and one at the mirror.
Grab it and move it straight up toward the ceiling, then twist down to adjust.

Aahh perfect, thanks! Went back to the dealer today, got into a GS and ES, mucked around with the mirrors and it's much improved. Am going to do another test drive with both, I love the GS Crafted Line (I know, a lot of people hate it), but can certainly appreciate the roomy ES as well.

Two completely different cars. If you enjoy driving, you'll choose the GS Good luck!

Very different cars. The ES is fine (I had two), but when you get into the more premium Lexus products, the cars designed from the ground up as a Lexus (the ES shares its platform with the Avalon) there's a big difference in refinement, quality, stability, etc. The GS is a much more substantial car than the ES.

I had that problem in my 2013 after several months, and had the dealer tighten it. After several more months, it was loose again and the dealer tightened it again. They informed me that there is a bolt on the back that I could tighten myself if I wanted.
