I don't think it's digital, here a place called sound advice, installer said my 500w JL amp will make my head lights dim and mess up the electronics of the car..... the upsell was for jl's digital amp. I walked out

If it was class A it will probably dim.

I have a 500w JL amp non-digital. No dimming at all

This. Class A/B amps are very inefficient. I had a Kenwood Class A amp a few years ago in a different car and it made my lights dim a bit and it was only 400 watts.

I am a Kicker guy.. been using Kicker audio equipment for 20 years. For this car I will be going with a Kicker Solobaric, either a 12" or 15" single DVC sub.. most likely the 15" version. As for amps, at the moment its between the Kicker CX600.1 (puts out around 700 watts RMS at 2 ohm) or the KX800.1 (puts out about 970 watts RMS at 2 ohm).. from what you guys are telling me, I will probably not have any issues with either amp. Also I will be running 1/0 Guage wiring so that I can upgrade to bigger amps in the future if I decide.
