LMAO sorry, that wasnt so clear in my post.
My point was when you take your car to get serviced they immediately hit you with "You know you need to change out that cabin air filter, its only $150 installed and it helps with blah blah blah.."
then you realize all you really need to change your air filter is $15 and 1 minute of your time
(this didnt happen to me, just the reality of what usually happens to unsuspecting car owners)

I'm in the same boat! I was looking to install these sills in my '13 GS but read the instructions indicating splicing of wires was needed. My previous '11 IS350 had the illuminated sills and they were plug/play (i removed the driver side sill panel one day out of curiosity and saw two wires already run with a connector plug sitting underneath the sill).
Anyway, that $80 installation price quote was amazing. My dealer here in upstate NY quoted me $145 and said it might take his tech about an hour to do it. Still trying to negotiate that down lol

So got the door sill plates installed on Friday. They look good, I tried to have the service guy snap a pic of the install but they were really busy that day. the sills cost me $200 and the install was $80 so all together paid $280. I will try to take a pic of the door sill in better night shots.
I am looking to purchase a set of these for my new car. Could you please PM me where to buy them for $200?
Thank You!
