Glad everything turned out OK. That business with cannibalizing cars for parts... man, I'd expect that with a Triumph dealership in the 70's, not with Lexus in 2015. Did they tell you if the nav unit was bad or if it was just the card?

I know! They replaced the whole u it and the card with the one from the other one. It must have been the card, that's the only thing that makes sense

Yeah, I sure wouldn't want to be the one buying the 'brand spanking new' cannibalized LS. Maybe they will make it a [so-called] 'manager's special' or a customer test drive 'model' and discount it more than other new ones.

Where have you been?
Are you making the annual motorcycle run to Red River, NM near you for Memorial Day?

And no, I'm definitely not going to the biker rally! I'll be at my family's houseboat

Thanks guys... We pulled through it but it was definitely a huge bump in the road for us.
So I'm curious, how's the quietness of the LS? Is it extremely quieter that the GS??

Its significantly quieter and smoother than the GS. At 80MPH its a library inside. The GS is also very quiet, I went from my Luxury GS to the LS for a week, then I had a 4GS loaner for a week and now back in the LS. When I first got back into the GS loaner it felt significantly coarser and louder than the LS to me, which surprised me because I always commented on how refined my GS was. However, as I drove it more that comparison faded away and I enjoyed it again. Then I got back into my LS and the additional refinement comes back into the forefront.
In other words, if you aren't comparing them all the time the GS is very smooth, quiet and refined. The LS is more of each.
The LS is more what I have been looking for vs the sportier nature of the GS. However, there was traffic on 270 today and I took my backroad through Potomac to the office. Moderately twisty roads, I often put the 4GS in Sport S+ and enjoyed the drive. The LS was...less enjoyable on that particular drive lets just put it that way LOL. I found myself hot into corners a lot in the LS where I wouldn't have been at all in the GS. I'd be interested to see an LS with air suspension and AVS or an F Sport and see if that can be improved in Sport S+. Either is out of my price range.
Overall I will take that tradeoff, but I can see how someone might not want to if they value handling and a nimbleness over that magic carpet ride. The GS has a great duality about it, the LS is much more singular minded.

The LS FSport suspension in S+ feels softer than the GS FSport in S+. I can feel every bumps on the road when in S+ in my GS.

I'm sure it's still softer than the GS in S+, it's just a much softer car.
The MPG is about the same as the GS overall. On the highway it does much better, I can get 30. Range is much better because of the bigger tank.
