Default After 3 days in a IS250 loaner....boy my GS is nice!

Just got the GS back from the rear door actuator replacement. The one they ordered was faulty, so they had to get another one so they had my GS for three days and I had an IS250 loaner with the luxury package.

The IS is a fun little car, I like getting them as loaners. The 250 even is peppy and smooth, very small and nimble feeling. BUT...got back into the GS today after being out of it...and it truly felt incredible! What a huge upgrade...

I'm getting old...I found the IS cramped and hard to get in and out of.

Just thought I'd share...

The acceleration is a big difference between the two. I felt the same way when I got that car as a loaner. 1 day for me and I was done. Accelerating in the GS felt like a jet afterwards. But my CT is even worse but it makes me smile when I'm stuck in traffic.

Its not just the acceleration, its the ride, the space, seat comfort. The GS feels much more refined and substantial.

I had a CT loaner once for 3 days.... man that was a torture. GS felt like an S-Class when I got it back.
We tend to forget how nice our cars are, thus I think a shock therapy is required sometimes

Yep. Just returned the RX350 loaner yesterday. What an awkward day of driving. I think the IS250 would have been preferable to it. All said, I was happy to get back into my car.

I actually kind of like driving a lesser loaner car, it makes me appreciate my car more lol.

It was a bummer when I had the ES, because I would get exactly the same car as a loaner and it would remind me I was the low man on the totem pole.

I don't like it when the dealer gives me the IS250 or CT200h as a loaner and it definitely makes me appreciate the GS. They are nimble, but lack power, too small, and definitely not as refined. I'm ok driving them for a day or 2, but if the dealer has to keep my car longer I request for the RX (350 or 450h) or ES just in case I make a spontaneous longer distance trip, need to transport people, or pick up something big. My dealer has a couple GS350 as loaners, but I kinda like trying out other Lexus since I get the privilege of driving a GS everyday.

Did you notice the 3IS250 has more traffic noise from adjacent cars zooming past coming through the side glass windows? Possibly because the IS uses thinner glass than the GS?

I prefer the CT or the IS as loaner much better than a GS300h.

It is different to drive and you're happy getting your car back afterwards

I definitely noticed it when I had an IS250 loaner. Also, lots more road noise.

The loaner I had also had those god awful Dunlop tires. They're loud as hell. Not to mention the PSI was aired to 55! I lowered it to the 38 on the door jamb and it was much more enjoyable.
