Thats too bad. If thats the best Progressive would do for you in that situation I would get better insurance. This is why I don't buy insurance from these discount Progressives and Geicos, etc. That and you have to stand up for yourself too...

Like I said its barely noticeable. I know I shouldve been more assertive looking back now but I didnt really notice the paint match until after I left. It was around 7PM when I picked it up and it was raining.

I've returned my car to the body shop -- for a damaged rear bumper, FOUR times. Until it's 100% perfect, they're not finished repairing the car.

Seriously, you paid $60k+ for a car.. Don't let them get away with bad workmanship.

How you could possibly see crappy color match at 7pm in the rain is beyond me. Go back and tell them exactly that. They will fix it. Or, at least, they should.

Also, this is the reason you shouldn't be buying cut-rate insurance...

I agree 100%. It would be one thing if you didn't care, but it obviously bothers you enough that you mentioned it and do you want to look at your $60k car and see that color difference every time? Thats what I would look at every time.

+1 .. My own car is on repair attempt number FIVE right now. I'm sure it's costing the body shop an incredible amount of money to fix it over and over and over and over again. I care exactly THIS much: none.

They'll keep fixing it until it meets with MY standards.

I posted about the damage/their attempts to fix it, here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...headaches.html

Thanks guys for the tough love looks like I'll be making another trip back to Progressive. Honestly it has been bothering me. I'm going to take a day off this week and make another appointment.

Just to enlighten me. People keep saying the other driver had no insurance. What does this mean? Don't you need insurance to register the vehicle?

They could have let their policy lapse or just never got it registered.
