We both respect each other's opinions and we share the same bank account. We both work (dual income household), so it's like a partnership.

That's how we roll.

Besides, we've owned an Acura Legend sedan back in the 90's and the new RLX (Legend in Japan) doesn't come across the same way the old Legend did.

I would drive over there to check it out before you bought it. 2.5 hours is worth the piece of mind.

The entire problem I am seeing after talking over with it with 2 other people today. There is more to consider then just a credit score. things I don't have #1 something financed over long term like 1 year or more (which is easy to do and can be fixed). #2 Proof of income I only report around 12-14K on the IRS form. When you are self employed you pay a 40% tax. Back in 2000's I was making 400K a year gross (bad websites) I only reported $60K I had to pay 20K on that 40K and I don't really want to do that. I believe that is my limiting factor. Even if I were to do a secure loan for 100,000 they might see I paid it off but where is the proof of income. I believe I am stuck no matter what I do and have to accept the fact that 6.9% will be the best rate I will ever get until I report more. Maybe after a year of total credit history it might go down a percent or 2 at most. So because of this I am going to wait. If I wait long enough I will be after a 2-3 year old GS-F 40-50K range at that time hopefully. I am going to use my 06 gs300 until the engine issue happens again and then it is time to buy.

Do you owe a house? Maybe you can pull equity for 4% max nowadays and use it towards car, plus is you can write off interest a little each year...
