I bought a '13 GS 350 base in 12/14 and the first issue was the lousy Uniroyal tires (subsidiary of Michelin?) that caused very uncomfortable vibrations over 60 mph. I had them balanced at Discount Tires on the first day I drove it home. I ended up replacing 2 rear ones with Michelin Pilot MXM4. The current issue now is the broken plastic piece right on the rear railing on the driver's seat. Local dealer is still determining if it is covered under warranty. Mine has 19k miles so far. Other that those issues, I am very happy with my GS.

I owned a '13 GS F Sport RWD for almost 3 years and 20k miles. The only issue I had was that the aluminum trim dented easily on the driver and passenger side, but Lexus replaced it with a TSB. I also received constant dropouts using an iPod Classic (audio system would shut off) but replaced it with a Nano and all was perfect. The passenger side seatbelt is notorious for squeaking, so I used to belt it even with no one in the seat. Other than that, absolutely no issues. Wonderful car, and I only traded it because I wanted a coupe. It is a great car!

Hmmm.... I bought my 13 F Sport AWD last year the only two problems I've had were the brake squeal issue and the bridgestones that come on the AWD are TRASH. The brake squeal can be fixed under TSB.

Great car. No complaints. A couple points to think about though. Gas mileage with the AWD is significantly less than advertised. I believe the Lexus estimate is based on the RWD. I get about 17/22 in normal mode and drive pretty casually. Also make sure the car has all season tires. I bought my AWD a couple months ago and come to find out it has summer tires and they're horrible in the snow. Going to get through this summer and put all season tires on next winter.

thanks folks
tested it, but too many scratches and dents and abused likely being outside of NYC.
it seems lots of these used GSs showing up on market. why? people dont like them, whats wrong?
at this point the gs is due for refresh later this year, we will wait unless good deal pops up.
we are also waiting for the new RX and will be checking that out

It's a highly leased vehicle, lots of them coming off lease that's all.
