Has anyone tried to build an NX like Qi phone charger in the GS yet?

It's not NFC. It's Qi wireless charging. There are Qi charging pads you could use to build a charging plate for mounting in your car. Also, iPhone does not support Qi or any other form of wireless charging. So you'll have to get an adapter to hook up to the iphone's charging port for it to work.

The tray in the center compartment that comes with our car might be a good place to lay the charging pad.

You are right. Changed the first post. Indeed I mean Qi. The image was one that I found, I am not an iphone user.

I am just looking for a premium nice build in qi solution. The mat you showed is quite good, thanks for that, it seems easy enough to build in.

Good luck. Take some pics when you are done. Sounds like a good project especially if you own an android or windows phone.

Been using wireless charging the past 5 years now (first time was with my LG/Google Nexus phone then Samsung S/Note series, now fast wireless charging with S8+).
