Thanks jkeller! But what I also wanted to see was the upper back/shoulder support area.

I find that on my 2013 GS (non-F, non-lux), the sides of the front seat push my shoulders forward too much. In other words, it has too much of a "bucket" shape. This would be fine for a person with narrow shoulders, but that's not me. Does anyone else notice this?

Here is a comparison of the seats between premium and luxury packages:

Premium package seats:

I can kinda see how that upper third part of the backrest might push shoulders forward compared to the luxury seats below.

Luxury package seats:

Seems like the upper third of the backrest adds that upper articulating section that would relieve pressure on the shoulders. The F-sport looks similar, but the upper third does not articulate and I don't feel any discomfort on my shoulders. Those little strips where the backrest bends might be making a lot of difference.

Thanks again for the photos. The Luxury seats sure look nice. I hope I can eventually find some to try out.

The design of the seat back around the shoulders is subtle, but probably makes a difference over a long drive.

I may special order a GS with Luxury in the near future. (Right now I have a 2013 non-F GS with premium package only.)

They don't just look nice, they feel really nice. I'm really spoiled by the thigh support and the side bolsters (which also come with F Sport). The seats and other things make it worth the upgrade IMO.

I ordered the 2015 GS350, AWD, Atomic silver, Luxury package with black semi-analine leather, Cold weather package, BSM, PA, Illuminated door sills, etc. on March 6th.
Two weeks ago, I called the dealer and was told that they had a date of 5/24 when my car would be IN THE PORT (Portland, OR) so I could probably pick it up this week. Again I called yesterday and was informed that they found out two days after they told me the 5/24 date that the *new* date was 6/7. No idea why the two week delay. It's been 12 weeks as of today so I may get it after a total wait of 14 weeks!

LATEST UPDATE:

Called the dealership to see if the previously-quoted "in port" date of 6/7 would be met. No, no, no! I talked to the General Sales Manager who gave me the following information: (1) mfg. date of car was 5/25/15; ship date from Japan will be 6/6/15; arrival date somewhere around 6/18/16; estimated date at my dealer (150 miles away from the "port") is "10 days or so" after that. So, it appears as if the total time from order to delivery will be 16 weeks!! Is this normal? Has anyone had a longer delivery time (West Coast delivery)?

Sounds like someone else swiped the original car destined to you and you had to wait for the replacement. What I mean by swiped - They already had you on the hook, someone else was interested in the same equipped car and that dealer or even same dealer was able to work out a deal for the car. Happens. Get the VIN number.

Lexus just isn't really built to do special orders and have people wait. They don't have systems in place for tracking, etc...

True, BMW makes it very easy to special order and track it from Germany-ocean ship-port-dealer.

Absolutely, totally different.

BMW dealers will make deals on ordered cars just like lot cars too.

Default Finally!!!

I was able to pick up my special order 350 this past week: one day short of 17 weeks from order to delivery to me! A bit long but it's worth it to have exactly what I wanted:

- Atomic Silver
- AWD
- Luxury package (but had them trade out the 19" wheels with 18" - same wheels and tires - Michelin)
- Black semi-aniline leather
- Cold Weather Package (BY THE WAY - Lexus no longer includes headlamp washers, at least on any GS350)
- Blind Spot Monitor
- Parking Assist
- Illuminated Door Sills
- 35% 3M Color Stable on all windows except windshield
- 3M Chip Protect on front

Mileage from Tacoma to Tri-Cities was 24.8 which includes quite a bit of stop-and-go on I-5.

QUESTION FOR ANYONE: since I had them swap out the wheels, the door sticker lists incorrect tire size and incorrect tire pressures. Does anyone have any ideas how I could get a replacement sticker or how I should deal with this?

Interesting to hear about the headlight washers. Do you have a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats?

Default 2015 Luxury Package

No loss on the headlamp washers lol

Congrats!

I wouldnt worry about the sticker. PSI on the 18s should be 33, I ran 31-32 for better ride.

Have heated wood & leather steering wheel but only back seat audio and HVAC controls, not heated back seats. Also has the Adaptive Front Lighting System which I've yet to use since it's light when I go to bed and light when I get up!

Also, I tried the lengthy method of programming the lane change blinkers from 3 to 5 and it worked great! I printed them out so I'll have the instructions should I need to change to 7 or back to 3.
