I like a pure drive by wire than this detent thing. If I floor it I want it to downshift to redline right away not having to floor it twice.

There is no action that would require you to floor it twice.

If you stamp the pedal like you really mean it, the detent wont stop you..

..of course the traction control will!!

the heated steering wheel is a gimmick to me, coming from the Infiniti M37 where most of the wheel is heated up

Wouldn't go as far as calling it a gimmick. They do warm up my hands quite well and forces me to drive properly. LOL

I would much prefer a cooled steering wheel.

It would be interesting to see how this would be executed.

Default Mirrors

I like how when you put the GS in reverse, the side mirrors tilt down and out slightly so you can see the curb. They return to normal when you put the car in drive. I also discovered that the audio system is also a DVD player system with Dolby surround. It wont let you watch while driving, but it might be useful with the kids before a soccer game or something. I bought the car used four days ago. I am sure I will be finding out all sorts of other secrets about the car in the near future. Liquid Platinum with Flaxen Interior. Beautiful!!!

That's a good one. I never saw that before on any other car. Subtle but interesting.

I guess this one is too obvious, however I like the way the suspension becomes stiff in S+ mode. I'm selling an E39 540i. Drove it for 11 years. That car makes it feel like everyone else is going in slow motion. At least with the S+ on the Lexus it gets rid of some of the floating and rocking if you want to. Closer to what I am used to.

You can get a navi bypass, and let kids watch movies while the car is in motion.

How do you exactly do that?
