Accident last week. Really missing the GS F-Sport now.
I had a bad accident last week after slipping on ice and sleet near an intersection that was not plowed properly. Even with my Bridgestone Blizzaks I had which have been phenomenal in the past 2 years without issues on this car or any prior ones, I couldn't stop. The car slammed into an SUV that suffered minor damage. No one is at fault and I am ok. The car is in body shop for another 2 weeks. The car lease is up March 22 so I am thinking of getting a new GS. The current one has been fantastic and I really really miss it now and want to take a peak into the body shop to see how she is doing. She's a strong car and I am impressed as how it handled the accident. I felt safe which is very important. It looks bad but everything was running smoothly after the accident with the exception of the front parking sensor failure. I drove it for 1 day after the accident until I got it into the body shop.

Ahhh dont sweat it man, it happens, its just a car and it will be fixed. Main thing is that you and the other party were not injured. So if both of you were not at fault will your insurance go up after they fix your car ?

Thank you all for the reassuring comments. What is most important is that I am ok and the car will be fixed. I called my insurance company after finding out that the damage cost is 9,500 dollars. I have used this body shop before and they have done great jobs with good quote before. This damage is a bit excessive and my insurance may go up in September at the next billing cycle by a bit despite no one was at fault.

Good thing nothing happens to you when you have an accident and return the car after the lease. They cannot penalize you when the car is back to factory condition and the tires are not worn and there is no wear and tear inside. I will be fine though which is good.

I know someone who got insurance to put fault on the city for dirt gravel which caused him to slide into an accident because of lack of proper street sweeping. Just a thought
