Anyone else experiencing this?

I think the door when closed leaves too much space for dirt and mud to accumulate. Especially combined with the fact that the car has no mud guards. Usually wont complain about something like this but this happens just a day or 2 after detailing the car

Anyone want to post pics of theirs with a different color car?
Thanks

Yes, get it all the time . winter is worse. My old Venza had the bottom of the doors designed to come down preventing this. Too bad it wasn't carried over on these. Helps for cleaner pants.

I don't really notice this problem on my Nebula, but it's always sunny and never rains here in SOCAL. When we finally get rain, it gets a little dirty. You can buy some foam tape from Home Depot to seal the gap better if you want a simple quick fix.

That's nothing. You should see how filthy our cars look after a snowstorm

Have you ever looked to see how (and more importantly 'where') a car door is sealed to the body? The sill area of every car door that I know of gets wet and dirty out beyond where the door seal meets the body...because the door seal (that seals the door to the body) is above the bottom of the door by a couple of inches. This creates an opening or cavity that is allowed to get wet, which is self-draining. This cavity cannot help but to trap some water and some dirt, which is seen on the door sill (to the outside or out beyond the door seal). To try to seal that cavity area would likely fail and actually retain water and dirt in lieu of allowing water to self-drain.

When you drive in rain or through dirty water, or any water, the car gets dirty

All cars get dirty in that area, that's why I clean the area too when detailing mine.

Well I would take a pic of mine but it would put all these pics to shame as it has salt, dirt and ice since I haven't been able to wash my car. Also this is normal usually gets dirty in that area.

I've only got a few hundred miles on my car so I hadn't washed it thoroughly yet, but I just noticed the same door sill mess yesterday. I was shocked by how dirty it was with so few miles on the car. I took my detail spray and a MF towel and went to work.

Believe it or not, I have more important things to worry about.

One swipe with a chamois when washing my car takes care of that.

I'm more worried about shoes hitting that thing and scratch it.
