Is this what a lot of people that live in snow country do - use a shovel to scrap the snow off their cars?

I've seen my neighbors do it. I use a snow brush to clean the snow off and even then I'm mindful of scratches.

Snow broom is what I use as well when I get snow on car although when ice builds up can't use it, and I dont use the scraper.

I gave mine a wash after the Blizzard we had only to have all that work undone by driving back to the house...

I haven't had much issue with the salt because they haven't really been throwing it down in my part of town but that damn sand is a pain.

Anybody having issues with ice in the front wheel wells? Doesn't appear to be hindering vehicle but seems that it would burn the tires.

I haven't had an issue with that. I feel your frustration, drove home after washing car and smeared the whole car would be covered in Salt and snow, but it wasn't.

The best part of L.A. is, i can drive about 1 hour to Angeles National Forest and see about a foot of snow, or drive 2 1/2 hours to Big Bear Lake and ski and get a cabin and spend the weekend in the snow. I go at least once a year to Big Bear, but the good thing is i can always get away from the snow and go home

It was 80 degrees today in the Dallas area today with beautiful clear blue skies, abundant sunshine and a nice 2 mph breeze. Lots of people were out at the parks, golf courses and lakes. Lots of motorcycle and bike riders, convertible tops down, joggers and people walking their dogs in shorts and T-shirts. The buds on trees and plants are swollen and ready to open in a couple weeks.

Yeah, you're right. We have 4,000 jobs coming to Plano for the new Toyota U.S. Headquarters. And, another 4,000+ jobs for Liberty Mutual Insurance coming to Plano.
