It's not Alaska bad. LOL I'd still like to move to LA though if I can find a decent paying job.

Have you tried San Diego? We're getting flooded with transplants, their cars still have icicles on them.

Man I would move to Florida if it wasn't raining every random moment. Would love to live in cali but I could not deal with traffic and the many regulations.

The traffic in L.A. is overrated, its only bad on a few certain major freeways from 3pm - 7pm. After rush hour there is hardly any traffic. Everyone just sticks to the major Blvds. Hollywood Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Melrose Blvd to get around the city, but if you know the side streets you can shave half the time. Also now we have a Fastrak instead of a HOV lane on some of the major freeways like the 110 and the 10, and you buy a transponder and pay to use it like a toll road. Not many people use it because they are cheap, so I just fly by.

I've only been to cali once so was basing it off that. I had to travel from Simi-Valley to L.A.and I got stuck in traffic and it was the worst traffic I had been in including the fact that you all have 6 lanes.

Worse traffic I have ever been in was New York City, followed by Boston during the big dig. I have visited LA a few times and while it's bad, it's not much worse or better than Chicago.

Anywhere that receives multiple snows every winter is a difficult place to keep a nice car...nice. High temps will be in the 70s here for the next 4-5 days, which is nice weather for shorts and convertibles!

Lived in Northern California all my life, until I retired. Spent 8yrs in Central Florida, now in Northern South Carolina. Weather conditions have been such that driving a nice car year around wasn't as damaging as it would have been further north. If I lived in a state that had months of harsh snowy weather, I would have vehicle that could stand the treatment.....a farm truck, 4 wheel drive with battering ram bumpers....big, bad and ugly.

Thought about you guys today that are up in snow country. People here are wearing shorts and T-shirts. Plenty of convertibles with their tops down. Motorcycle and bicycle riders everywhere.
