Default F-Sport Headlight not bright enough

Hi All,

After driving my 2013 GS350 F-Sport for sometime at night. I notice the headlight is not as bright and F-Sport doesn't come with Foglamp.

I have couples questions..... hope u can help.

1. Does anyone know what kinda light buld does BMW n Mecerdes use? I noticed the color is much brighter and white/purples. (Sorry, i like bright light. My wife 2nd Gen GS had 6K HID for both Low/High beam.)

2. I live in 818 - Woodland Hills Area. -Does anyone know where i can get the foglamp install professionally? OEM parts and all. Sorry, no halfass work ;-)
-If you have the pricing thats would help alot too.

Thank you all

Fog lights don't really do much. I've never used the fog lights on my other cars. U might wanna try raising ur head lights a little, 7-8 turns clockwise will make a big difference at night. The factory adjustment is kinda too low.

Don't confuse color for lumens. Our eyes will perceive bluish purples as being brighter when in actuality it is less lumens. But if you want that bluish purple headlight look go up to a 8K HID bulb. Philips/Osram is a good brand. Don't go for the cheap eBay stuff.

Newer Mercedes use LED head lights that's why the color looks more blue.

Sound good......

I'll try the adjustment of the headlight first. So will see.....

If i change the HID bulbs, i never go over 6K in color. I like the daylight look. ;-)

thanks guys

The problem isn't the bulb it's the fact that we have a coated lens as compared to Acura and BMW is clear hence why it seems as though those cars look way better. Only way to fix that is retrofit the headlight.

While this is true, having the aim a bit higher does help out a little.

Love the cut-off, I think a member on here did it and it looked great.

yeah and check this out, the 2015 S Class actually contain 47 Swarovski crystals within each headlight. How sweet is that ? 17 angular crystals make up the daytime running lamps, and 30 round crystals form the turn signal lamps. The illumination is via LED but the Swarovski crystals make it the best looking headlights i have ever seen.
