yea, this is a weird topic to bring up. Its like theres no info on the web really about cold air intakes on gs350 for the 4th gen. I wanted to buy one till i quickly realized that the reason no one speaks on it is because the stock one is probably better. Sure, well have a couple people chime in here after this but i think the answer is pretty clear.

Just do what I did, install a JoeZ full catback exhaust for that growl. Nothing like it!

hope this helps

I bought the K&N CAI. I wasted $180. Stick with the factory installed system, it sounds MUCH better. You're not going to get any added HP from the CAI. Just get a K&N air filter for the factory box and you'll be better off.

What I want is this FSport for IS but mainly for looks only.

But I don't know if it's going to fit.

But I know I will lose the stock sound generator so this will actually be quieter.

Stock setup has a nice intake scoop right behind the grill, so the air is plenty cool I would think as it is not sucking from the engine compartment..

Looks like Lexus thought about the design of this intake quite a bit!

The stock setup is always a cold air intake kit, it has a snorkel that draws cold air straight from the grille and it's isolated from the hot engine area. That's why when people install aftermarket intake (open filter style) they aren't gaining any power but some are even losing power, that's cause it is now sucking hot air from the engine bay, especially those kits that do not have a heat shield. They just do it for the looks and sound but gain nothing in performance. Don't let that kid in a Civic fool ya! Do u think u know ur car better than the manufacturer?
